"There's chaos in you."
On Monday, January 17, 2022, Marvel Studios releases the official trailer for the much-anticipated Disney Plus series Moon Knight during the NFL Super Wild Card matchup.
Jeremy Slater, head writer, and executive producer created Moon Knight for television. The series stars Oscar Isaac as the titular character, Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel, and May Calamawy. It is the first Marvel installment for 2022, and it is part of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The series will premiere on March 30, which consists of 6 episodes that will be released on a weekly basis.
Moon Knight focuses on Marc Spector, a former US Marine who suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. Later on, Marc is bestowed with special abilities by an Egyptian moon deity, thus making him the vigilante known as Moon Knight. Throughout the series, Marc realizes that his abilities are both a blessing and a burden to his complicated life.
The character is often compared to DC’s Batman, while some say Moon Knight is much more brutal. Moreover, the series is expected to be Marvel Studios’ darkest and most daring project yet.
Following his time on X-Men: Apocalypse, this marks Isaac’s second Marvel role. It’s interesting to see Isaac’s take on the character and how it will affect the rest of the MCU.
