NCAA: Cardinals bow down to the JRU Heavy Bombers for its first loss of the season

With the hopes of getting its third win, the Mapúa Cardinals were handed their first loss in the NCAA Season 99 Men's Basketball, in the Filoil Flying V Center on Sunday, October 1 with a final score of 70-61.


The Cardinals went down to 2-1 after the JRU Heavy Bombers outscored them in the second half. Clint Escamis led the way for the Intramuros squad with 19 points, followed by Ryle Rosillo with 10 points.


Bouncing back from their overtime loss against the College of Saint Benilde Blazers, the JRU Heavy Bombers improved to 2-1, tying with the Cardinals. Patrick Ramos and Agem Miranda fueled the team with 18 and 15 points respectively.


Following the loss, the Cardinals now set to recover as they take on the College of Saint Benilde Blazers while the JRU Heavy Bombers will face the undefeated Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals on October 4, Wednesday at the Filoil Flying V Center.
